The Konsort was the swansong design of the very successful yacht designer Laurent Giles. She was in production from 1979 until 1993 which is a testament to her desirability and design. Introduced to plug the gap between the 26 and 31 footers she was an instant hit thanks to her "Centauresque" lines and generous beam.
While she lacks speed in light airs she makes up for it in a blow and can carry full sail beyond a force 4. Deep safe cockpit, reliable Bukh diesel, proper chart table, decent galley, and 5 berth accommodation makes this cruiser as popular today as she was in her heyday.
This is a bilge keeled version which is ideal for exploring the coves and creeks of our beautiful coastline. Deck stepped spars with boom-mounted main, roller furling genoa and cruising chute.
The saloon is entered via the companionway. Headroom at main hatch is 6 foot and this continues to just before the heads.
There are two well-upholstered settee/berths either side of the central drop leaved table. The table has its customary bottle stowage. The fabric is smart navy velour and in great condition. Plentiful storage beneath and behind the settee with additional open shelved storage along the hull.
The galley is aft on the starboard side and features a gas fuelled Flavel Vanessa oven with 2-burner hob and grill. Stainless steel sink with hand pumped fresh water. Adjacent is a top loading icebox, the lid of which acts as a chopping board.
Bespoke storage for crockery and mugs. Cupboard storage for provisions.
Opposite the galley is the chart table. Here you will find chart storage, reading light and space for instruments. The quarter berth runs aft from here and acts as a seat.
Forward of the saloon is the heads compartment with marine toilet. Opposite is a washbasin, hanging locker and storage cupboard.
In the forepeak is the additional double berth with infill cushion. Storage below the bunks and along the hull. Opening deck hatch for ventilation.
