‘Colanna' . Currently out of the water at Lower Halstow Yacht Club off the Medway in North Kent.
Sold as seen.
We've owned her for the past 10 years and have had many amazing adventures on her.
Priced low and open to offers from anyone seriously interested in the project. Colanna has great sentimental value so we don't want to see her die! Feel free to enquire for more details on exactly what needs to be done.
We want her back in the water in good nick so we will be transparent on what we believe needs to be fixed, and will very happily continue to give after sale advice. We would be delighted by anyone who gets her out and sailing again. Selling as buying a bigger boat and don't have time to fix this one.
£995 (ono)
Remarks:
• Sailed last season (2025)
• The engine has low compression. Started successfully early in the season but was becoming a problem later on. By the end of the season, she turned over, but we could not get her to fire. Assumption is the engine will need reconditioning or replacing with another old diesel like a Yanmar, or even a modern electric engine.
• Propshaft stuffing box replaced last season (2025)
• Starter motor replaced last season (2025) with a reconditioned one.
• Gearbox needs oil.
• Will move with the electric outboard that can be added for another £100 ono.
• Some bearings on the gib furler swivel have come out so need to be replaced.
• Keel bolts strongly reinforced in 2019 for lying on mud, has been on a swinging drying mud mooring for last ten years.
• Hull integrity good – no leaks noticed since owned.
• Sails in ok condition. Small rip in mainsail can easily be patched.
